When you are too numb to feel

When the heart has taken so many hits by the one who you thought you could trust..it becomes numb from any feelings.. and not long later only the scars are left behind..each scar shows for every memory recalled and with each emotion from it a thought that ends in pain..in these moments it makes you really wonder what it was that made you try so hard..when at the very end there's only emptiness..how foolish is the heart to think that it was ever worth it..how foolish was the mind to think it could ever forget..
